What is Distance Learning (DL)?
• Available 24 hours a day 7 days a week
• Must study 5 hours each week
• Must complete 12 hours of Remote Learning before enrolling
• Must demonstrate proficient Internet skills by passing a digital literacy assessment before enrolling
What is Remote Learning (RL)?
• Face-to-face online instruction via Zoom
• View and interact with instructor and classmates live and in a virtual classroom setting
• Classes meet for 1.5 hours twice a week
• Select the class days and times that work best for you
Distance Learning & Remote Class Technology Requirements:
• Access to Internet/Wi-Fi
• Access to a cell phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer
HSE Virtual Testing Requirements

The Online Tools Training includes practice tests. The practice tests include detailed instructions for testing, and allow you to get comfortable using the tools used for actual online testing. **You may take the OTT practice as many times needed to gain basic understanding.

Testing technology requirements:
- Must have access to Internet
- Must have access to Chrome
- Important: Remote testing requires Google Chrome. To download and install the latest version of the Chrome browser, go to https://www.google.com/chrome/
- Must have access to laptop or desktop
- Tablet/iPad/Chromebook not allowed for testing
- Must have a camera, web cam, monitor, mouse, and keyboard.
- Must have audio (microphone), speaker, and/or headset
*****Cell Phones and iPads are not allowed*****
If you are a minor (18 and younger), please provide the following MANDATORY registration documents:
- Withdrawal Forms from last school attended, including Mandatory Administrator Signature
- Mandatory Parental consent, including parent signature and student signature
**All participants interested in registering for classes must provide an ID
(Ex. Driver’s License or ID, Birth Certificate, Baptismal Record, Passport, etc.)
ESL Virtual Testing Requirements

**It is MANDATORY that you complete the Zoom tutorial before attending the testing session. This tutorial will help you become familiar with how to use Zoom.

- Must have a camera, web cam
- Must have audio (microphone), speaker, and/or headset
If you are a minor (17 or 18 years old), please provide the following MANDATORY registration documents:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Mandatory Parental consent, including parent signature and student signature
**All participants interested in registering for classes must provide an ID
(Ex. Driver’s License or ID, Birth Certificate, Baptismal Record, Passport, etc.)
- Creation of OneFlow student account
- AEL Intake Form & Student Enrollment Form
- Orientation
- Baseline assessment
